Addressing crime is my top priority, and I am committed to creating a comprehensive Community Safety Action Plan. This initiative will require close collaboration with the other eight councillors to ensure it becomes a key focus from the very beginning of our four-year term. Action against crime in our community is urgent and cannot be delayed any further.

As a councillor, my role is to be a strong voice for our community—someone who is passionate about Carrum Downs, understands the needs of residents and is fully aware of the challenges we face. Influence as a local councillor will enable me to effectively advocate for the funding and resources we need to grow and thrive.
With a strong understanding of governance and policy, I will be able to contribute to key decision-making, ensuring that Carrum Downs receives its fair share of benefits from council actions.
Community leadership is at the heart of modern local government. Councils work in partnership with local communities and organisations—including public, voluntary, community, and private sectors—to build a shared vision. I am committed to a balanced, fair approach, with the leadership skills to work closely with both the council and the community to make meaningful progress.
I will not be seeking "maternity leave" within council, as I am fortunate to have access to maternity leave through my current job. This gives me an advantage, as I will have the time and flexibility to fulfil my duties as a councillor. In fact, during my maternity leave in 2022, I attended numerous council commitments, many of which focused on young families.
Since welcoming my son two years ago, while working full time and starting my own consulting business, I have attended 50+ events held by Frankston City Council—more than some sitting councillors. This is in addition to the events I have attended over the last four years during the current council term.
Beyond council events, I have continued giving back to the community. During the Christmas period, I dedicated time to gift wrapping at Bayside Shopping Centre and Karingal Hub, and I spent Christmas Day serving hot meals at the Frankston Arts Centre alongside Frankston Life Church.
My husband supports me 100% along with my family. Like many people within our community, we can do many things at once.
Having a young family will not define or limit my role as a councillor. Many current councillors also have families and work full-time or part-time, and these responsibilities have not hindered their duty—nor will they limit mine.
Councils have the autonomy to provide a wide range of services that meet the unique needs of their local community, including:
As councillors, it is our responsibility to advocate to State and Federal governments to secure the necessary funding for our community. Too often, councils become involved in issues beyond their jurisdiction. I am committed to ensuring that Frankston City Council stays focused on local government matters, leaving State and Federal issues to their respective authorities.
The Federal Government is responsible for:
The State Government manages:
By keeping Frankston City Council focused on local issues, we can better serve our community and ensure efficient governance at every level.
As a councillor, I fully understand the commitment that a four-year term requires—the time, dedication and presence needed to serve residents, support local businesses, and aid charities and other non-profit organisations.
I also strongly believe that a councillor’s personality plays a crucial role in their effectiveness. I pride myself on being fair and well-balanced. Communication is key, and being able to connect with and adapt to the needs of different individuals is essential to truly represent the community. In my current role, I’ve developed the ability to communicate with diverse personality types, and this is one of the strongest qualities I will bring as a councillor.
My deep knowledge of Carrum Downs—its past, present and potential future—will guide my decision-making to ensure we work toward the best outcomes for our community.
